My Little Pony-Takara Seapony 3D model for printing (with extra pieces)
A downloadable project
This is the seapony that I made in my seapony 3D printing video. There are many extra pieces in this zip file.
Check out the video for how I made this prototype:
This list is included in the zip file as a .txt file as well:
Seapony Full Parts List
Parts labeled A1 are the most basic version. 2 are variants for seapony species (unicorn-seapony or pegasus-seapony). B head variant is for ease of printing with eyes merged with the head.
Seapony has been tested in PLA but not resin. Normal supports are recommended for head, body, and nose. I recommend printing the fins with balls on build platform to create a clean appearance for the fins.
Heads
-SeaponyHeadA1, Base seapony head with eye holes
-SeaponyHeadA2, Base unicorn-seapony head with eye holes
-SeaponyHeadB1eyes, Seapony head with eyes built in
-SeaponyUnicornHeadB2eyes, Seapony head with eyes built in
Eyes
-SeaponyRightEyeA1, eye (right, interchangable)
-SeaponyLeftEyeA1, eye (left, interchangable)
Nose
-SeaponyNoseA1
Bodies
-SeaponyBodyA1, Base seapony body with 4-part fin.
-SeaponyBodyA2, Seapony body with 5-part fin (extra fin on bottom)

-SeaponyRightFinA1, Base seapony fin (right)
-SeaponyLeftFinA1, Base seapony fin (left)
-SeaponypegafinrightA2, Extra long seapony fin styled like a wing (right)
-SeaponypegafinleftA2, Extra long seapony fin styled like a wing (left)
Tail
-SeaponyATailA1, Tail segment one, largest segment
-SeaponyBTailA1, Tail segment two
-SeaponyCTailA1, Tail segment three
-SeaponyDTailA1, Tail segment four, end of tail
Stand
-SeaponystandA1, basic stand for seapony
-SeaponystandA2, stand with extra detail
The standard seapony uses all the parts labeled "A1". If you would like a unicorn seapony, you can use Head A2 instead. If you would like a pegasus seapony, you can use Fins labeled A2 instead. If you would like to make a pegacorn-seapony, replace both head and fins with A2 versions.
You can also use the B1 or B2 heads if the eyes cause you difficulty with printing (the eyes are very small, and while they can print with no supports they may fall over).
You will need 3 s-hooks and a wire hoop or bead to string the seapony. One S-hook will be attached to the end of the tail with an elastic and run through the other tail segments and body. Once at the head, use the wire hoop or bead and tie the elastic tightly in a loop. If the tail is not poseable, loosen or tighten the elastic as necessary. The fins can be attached using their own small elastic loop or can use the same elastic that is run into the head (as the elastic loop passes through the body, pull each end out the arm holes and connect the s-hook on the fins to the elastic).
The nose should fit into the nose-hole on the head tightly enough to hold on by friction, but a piece of fabric or flat rubber band can help increase friction if it is loose. I also recommend gluing a small circle of fabric in the sockets to increase friction and prevent damage from rubbing if you are going to paint it.
